Jakarta Dept. of Industry and Energy added two new gensets for Pluit Reservoir, Penjaringan, North Jakarta.
In last rainy season, there were only 4 pumps operated due to limited genset power.
Each gensets has 2,275 kilo volt ampere (kva) power and able to operate 10 pumps when the electricity connection is off.

Elisabeth Ratu RA, Head of Electricity, Oil and Gas Energy Management for Jakarta Dept. of Industry and Energy, said the gensets will maximize the existing 10 pumps in Pluit Reservoir. In last rainy season, there were only 4 pumps operated due to limited genset power.
She explained that 10 pumps operation need electricity supply as much as 3,300 KVA. Two additional gensets will be able to accommodate the power to operate the pumps at the same time.
